0003 October 3rd 2013 notes. It is 9.40 and I will next do some writing to about 10,30 and then tackle upstairs this morning before lunch to be determined, as nothing was defrost for the main course, and then this afternoon I need to load the car which accumulated rubbish plus household waste which will not be collect for another week although I will empty the full to brim environmental bin tomorrow. Breakfast was a small porridge with coffee. No lottery, complete the TV and radio survey of the day and not no £5 regarding for the media 7 day survey recently completed. Had a good sleep of around 9 hours in total with only one rising. Will see how long this last although I seem to be more relaxed. Played chess and up to a run of 27, over 1500 patience and around 4.3 million on Mah-jong. Need to replace couple fo cartridges which did not register and add to stock, all for this afternoon. Need instant coffee decaffeinated for the occasional night cup which works better than the decaffeinated percolator. Wash up completed 9.50
12.30 just scorched the top lip with a boiling corn on cob as starter for email without deciding what the main course will. I am still perspiring from the effort at the top of the stairs although it was about 11.45 when I made it having decided to place in display folders the recent Google Blogs plus creating what will be three volumes of comment and record for the last trip of my great summer. I also sorted some development folder material. The event of the day is the admission by the editor of the Mail on Sunday that one his reporters gate crashed a private memorial service of relative of Ed Miliband to ask other relatives about the Hate allegation of the father of the Miliband brothers. This is an extraordinary own goal by the owner and editors of the Mail group which will have profound repercussions and will could be the knock out blow for Cameron and the next election unless he distances himself in public and also now deals more firmly with the Leveson recommendations rather than yielding to the offering of the media. It is time for action and for parliament not just to speak but to act. 12.
13.15. Just about to finish up stairs before going out. The editor of the Mail on Sunday has issued an unreserved apology within hours of the owner of newspaper being asked to act by Ed Miliband. Next week there is to be an important meeting regarding the future of press regulation through the setting up of a new independent regulator under the umbrella of the Privy council. The bastards have shot themselves in the foot. Wonderful news.
17.40. Following on my last comment the editor has described the behaviour of his journalist and whoever instructed her as deplorable so I hope all those responsible have been sacked.
I have had a good afternoon taking the car first to the waste disposal centre to get rid of outstanding items of rubbish accumulated at the back plus household rubbish which missed the collection last weekend. On return i prepared the environmental bin which is full to the brim for the morrow. I then parked the car at Mill Dam by the Customs House and walk though the new Riverside park development. I am impressed although whether the cost is justified is questionable. The raised area provides good views long the Tyne in both directions. There are areas of grasses planted among pebbles as well on conventional hard perennials. There is a fountain feature which was being tested at the Customs House and where the small grassed amphitheatre has been completed and from which there was to have been a live relay from the Glastonbury Festival although had it taken place I would have missed because of clashing cricket. There are two fenced off areas of muddy grassland which looks incomplete. It is not possible to walk through market square across to the gardens and ferry landing. Despite the full afternoon there was a few others talking the walk.
I then went into town for more ink cartridges and it was embarrassing as the returned cartridges were for a different model. On return I checked and I have two other of the same number and one of those I purchase this afternoon was also incorrect and on the wrong set. Will return to morrow.
19.25 been watching The Dogs of War rather than the football and enjoyed an evening meal of a small spicy dish with pasta and followed by two cheese omelettes with a glass of Lemonade and thirsty I will have another and complete the film. Earlier I went to the supermarket for lettuce, small tomatoes, decaffeinated instant coffee and a treat, chocolate covered peanuts which i enjoyed on the journey back. I also purchased an aerial suitable for Digital TV/TV radio but so far unsuccessful when trying on the TV’s down stair and tomorrow room at the top when I also do the first floor.
20.30 Enjoyed the Dogs of War and will do a film note sometime. Now watching American X Factor. Will record Question Time and This week to look at tomorrow.
9,40 Messed up the chess but reach 4.5m Mah-Jong. To bed and read
