0015 Daily Notes 2013 Tuesday 15th October Anger and upset over Panorama and Crime Watch and go to see The Fifth estate

My note is brief as the time is 22.25 but the day October 15th 2013 has been an important one with repercussions which will last over the coming days, weeks and months. I have learned not to plan more than a year ahead although I have thought much about reaching the age of seventy five years in March.

Yesterday evening I knew that I would become angry and upset if I watched the Panorama programme on the continuing greed and immorality of bankers and the special Crime Watch report on the abduction of Madeleine McCann six years ago. Again I am till raging and emotional I will leave the writing to another day.

This afternoon I went to the Film The Fifth Estate on Wikileaks having booked the inexpensive Tuesday showing at £4.05. I was surprised the largest theatre at the cinema had been allocated and disappointed in the event that less than a dozen people had taken the opportunity. I intentionally did not read reviews or listen to what Dr Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo had to say last Friday. I consider this to be one of the more important films of the past couple of decades because of the way it treated the subject of hacking, disclosures of confidential information and its impact, together with the response of government as well as providing what I assume to be a realistic portrait of those behind the disclosures and their publication on the Internet as well as some key and interesting figures in the USA administration, especially the Sate Department of Foreign Affairs. I will consider further and write more.

I have just watched England win 2.0 against Poland in an exciting game which means they have qualified as head of their group for the 2014 World Cup. I am going to bed shortly.
