10.15 September 28th 2012 is Ryder Cup Day. I have watched the first part of Autumn season Question after watching the end last night before the late night Politics This week show which also returned for the Autumn into Winter season and where I will comment on both programmes later in the day. I have also listened to last and third part of the BBC radio serial on DVD in the complete Smiley series The Spy who came in from the cold which I will complete on yesterday’s writing also later. The post has arrived with an out of camera battery charger for the Zeiss lens expensive video and still camera and which I have put together successfully and is working all of which impressed myself greatly. What I do not know is for how long the battery has to be charged up and if after being left for so long, at least a year before working out what to do it will charge up. I have two batteries one providing 50 mins of use time and the other 30. I had a third which I cannot presently find.
As a result of the failure of the camera I stopped taking photos of each component of the art work with more than 300000 photos to-date on disk. I will need to reconsider the position if the use of the charger is successful. My programme to date in addition that being mentioned is to get myself ready, finished yesterdays writing and go out for some milk and for a new Toaster.
12.10 Not completed writing about the Spy who came in from the Cold as decided to go out and shop. Have acquired a new white Toaster from Azda for under £5 and it works, Brilliant. Also liked a some red plates and bowls Azda have in store and purchased two plates and two bowls and may get another couple of each next time if they still have them at £1 a piece. The main purpose of the shop was for milk and also for future teas and decided that with the bad weather I need something hot rather than the cold sandwich, baguette or salad so will do things on toast hence the toaster as my original packed up and a change of fuse did not work) accept the fuses may be hold and also need new ones. So the plan is for beans, spaghetti, mushrooms and tomatoes, eggs or cheese on toast with some prawns, a quiche, smoked mackerel, together with the weekly sprats as a tea rather than main coarse unless the portion is a large one and a small pizza. Sardines on roast is another and a half tin of salmon are other possibilities. Because of the Friday morning crowd I used the quick check out although a plate and a box created problems which required the assistant to help not one, twice but thrice!
The battery charging has worked but the camera is showing a warning number which suggests that a service or some other problem is required. On the spur I found that the camera will take pictures to the memory stick and was able to transfer to the computer so that part is OK. However the filming tape was slow to work when checking to see if there was a unit inside. The reason for getting the camera to work is that over the next year I want to transfer the video tapes and the cassettes part of 101 project to disk. I will attend further later today or over the weekend.
14, 00 Enjoyed a late fish with veg lunch after first washing the new crocks and using the red plate. Watched the latter stages of Bargain Hunt where both team lost only a few pounds and then the news where a crash in which a party of seven British individuals and others on a Trek in the Himalayas has crashed after take off with a loss of all life followed by the news hat the runaway school girl has been located in France after TV publicity there and the Maths teacher arrested.
The Ryder Cup has commenced in Chicago with the Foursomes as opposed to the four ball series. In the past I have found the partisan USA crown over the top but then there was the Olympics.
14.30 The first four matches are underway with two having completed four holes and the USA is 1 in one pairing with the three others all square after having been up in two matches at the second hole.( Complete washing up and make a cup of coffee)
14.55 Just seen that the Europeans have gone one up at he seventh and then that they are in fact up in three of the four matches , albeit by 1 hole, and all square in the fourth
15.40 The opening pair McIlroy and McDowell at he 10th and the fourth pairing of Poulter and Rose are both 2 up in a swing match Westward and Molinari are 1 up and in the other swing match it is all square so the position remain three up although from different matches.
19.40 Completed/yesterdays writing and published only for printer to go on the blink again because I am not using maker’s cartridges. Will leave until morning to sort out the first session of gold started to go badly so I took a peak at an episode of the Dallas 2012. Apart form curiosity value seeing JR Sue Ellen Brother Bobby and Cliff Barnes with their children grown up cannot it acquiring a huge audience tucked away on channel 5.
There was a good panel on Question Time last night with Douglas Alexander number two at the Treasury for the Lib Dems, Harriet Harman fior Labour with Steve Coogan Comedian at her side and the Tory son/gradson/ relative of William Rees Mogg and Location Location Location presenter Kirsty Allsop one of the daughters of the Chairman of Christies and married to a property developer. The subject of the future for Nick Clegg also came up in the Politics this week show and those in both programmes agreed he would remain leader until after the General Election. There was serious discussion about the true nature of the Tory Party following the behaviour of the Tory Chief whip after the incident with a Number 10 policeman. It is suggested that who he may bto have called the policeman in question a Pleb he is said to be known to use the description as a form of contempt on other occasions.
